Бадминтон – искусство в движении

Sports competitions within the framework of the UKTMK Complex Sports Contest occupy a special place in the life of the Plant's staff. Regular competitions and trainings help not only to strengthen health, but also to rally the team and recharge your energy before working days.

In late April and early May, the Plant's employees took part in two significant badminton events at once, each of which is important and valuable in its own way.

The first competition was held as part of the 2025 Integrated Sports Contest. Badminton is one of the most spectacular and fan-favorite sports. The participants, especially those who regularly attend the section after work, showed a high level of preparation and a real athletic spirit.

The winner of the competition was the head of the compliance department, Arman Kurmangaliev.

  – Badminton for me is not just a sport, but an opportunity to regularly engage in physical activity in the competitive process. In addition, badminton classes in the gym of UKTMK JSC provide an opportunity to communicate with colleagues in an informal setting. – I always tell everyone – come and try to play! This is a very exciting game. Although at first glance it seems that she is simple and frivolous, this is far from the case!

And in early May, badminton fans met at a tournament dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. This event has already become a tradition, and it is being held for the third year in a row, invariably arousing interest and positive emotions among employees.

The tournament was held in a round-robin system, so that each player had the opportunity to compete with all the participants and fully unleash their athletic qualities.

As a result of the heated tournament matches, the first rackets of the Combine once again confirmed their leadership - the invincible Arman Kurmangaliev took the first place. Ivan Klimov, loader of workshop No. 8, took silver, and Ravil Sagadiev, chlorinator of workshop No. 1, won the honorable third place.

The winners received gold, silver and bronze medals with the logo of the 60th anniversary of the Combine from the trade union committee.

  – Badminton immediately appealed to me because it is an active, dynamic game that involves all muscle groups, - said Ivan Klimov. – I am very happy that I won the prize, but now I have a different goal – first place, which means that I will continue to train hard with experienced players.

Sports life at the Plant continues – there are new stages of the Spartakiad and other competitions ahead. But now we can say with confidence that the UKTMK team is not only professionals in their field, but also strong, purposeful people who are able to achieve victories both in production and in sports.
